Last Saturday, LaNoris Sellers exited the game against Vanderbilt late in the second quarter, after a hit to the head. Sellers has been under concussion protocol, with his availability up in the air. On Tuesday, Eli Drinkwitz said, “We expect Sellers to play.” Shane Beamer stated on Wednesday, that they were optimistic about Sellers for Saturday’s game.

On Thursday night, Sellers was upgraded to ‘probable” on the injury report, confirming those sentiments from both coaches. Sellers likely playing changes the dynamic of this game, giving the Gamecocks an extra layer of explosiveness, that backup, Luke Doty, simply wouldn’t be able tro provide.

Sellers was listed as a preseason all-American and has been in talks for the Heisman, as a preseason front-runner. Through the first three games, Sellers has been underwhelming. Currently, Sellers has a 41.5 QBR, which puts him at the 104th best in the country. Sellers has thrown for 431 yards, 2 touchdowns, and 1 interception.

Despite the slow start, Sellers has proven himself to be one of the SEC’s best when he’s on, which could happen at any moment. Missouri left tackle, Cayden Green, was added to the injury report as “probable” as well. Logan Reichert, Sam Horn, and Blake Craig remain out, as anticipated.

Sellers availability completely changes this game, surely making it tougher for the Tigers on Saturday. Missouri is currently a -9.5 point favorite on ESPN, down from the prior -13.5.
